Come join us discovering what is out there with simple crafts, dress up and play ideas for Space Activities for Kids. With 8 simple Space Activities this should set you off blasting into space with your kids.
J loves everything space related at the moment – helped hugely by the early learning centre rocket and robot that he was brought at Christmas which have led to many great explorations of the sand pit moon and the planet kitchen over the last few months.
One of my favourites to do with slightly older children is to create this yarn ball solar system by Art for Little Hands.

I love this idea of a sensory box by Pink and Green Mama really fits in with something that T could be able to do (we’ve started with a treasure basket for her this week) so with a little adaptions even a baby could join in
The scientist in me loves this Bottle Rocket experiment from Science Sparks – I think that J and T maybe a little too young at the moment however I maybe found in the back garden having a go at this myself one evening very soon
This has been pinned so many times on Pinterest but it is one of my favourite ideas for a Halloween or fancy dress party costume for a little girl or boy that is space mad by Sewing in No Mans Land this rocket back pack is brilliant
I love Junk modeling (we have a large and every growing box of stuff that would normally recycle but is now being saved for junk creations) and Nurture Store is one of my most visited sites for inspiration of what to do with my junk. Here’s a brilliant example of some of the junk space models that were made
And lastly if you’re wondering about Space Dough well here are the two posts that I have got the recipe from Nurture Store and The Imagination Tree just have to wait to see what fun J has with the dough when we have made it.
Over the next week I am going to surfing the web and particularly the blogging world finding posts and activities to go with this theme and pinning them to my space activities and crafts for kids board.

Thank You for including our space themed party ideas.
I love the space themed party that you did – I like DIY parties we had a frog one this year although it was more like a huge play date as J was 2
Great page hun!

Another idea is to papermache balloons of different sizes and let our Lo’s decorate them as planets
Brilliant Idea I love it – will add it to the list of activities to do and paper mache would work with a toddler whereas the yarn balls wouldn’t at this age
