Our Story

Parenting is by far the hardest job that I've ever had. It is relentless, ever changing, exciting, frightening, worrying, glorious and amazing.

BUT it is hard and for the first few months with my eldest I found myself in survival mode. Counting the minutes until my husband would return home. When my youngest arrived only 18 months after my eldest a switch flicked! It was instead of surviving I wanted to live and the first goal I set was that I was going to do daily activities with the kids yes even the new born that would mean spending quality time together.

As I love getting crafty those first few years were spent doing art and crafts with them, as well as playing together and I started to share them here on Rainy Day Mum.

That was back in 2011 - since then the children have GROWN and so have the goals that we have set ourselves as a family spreading out and increasing once one is established.

Read more about our journey and the goals we have as well as decide what your family's goal or goals will be this year. There is no bad time to set them just jump right in and start.
