Sensory Bins Inspired by Books

We love combining books and activities. It’s one of my favourite ways of encouraging our toddlers and preschoolers to love reading. One of the activities we love to do is create some sensory bins or tubs inspired by the books. These simple to set up activities are great for independent exploration and fun for our toddlers and preschoolers. So here are some favourite Book Based Sensory Bins inspired by our favourite books.

Book Themed Sensory Tubs

Starting off first with our book-themed sensory bins or tubs and we have some fun ones to get you started.

Why Use Sensory Tubs with Books

Sensory tubs are fantastic at supporting your child’s development, but when you create them inspired by books you can also support their language learning and reading comprehension as well.

Provide the book alongside the simple set up sensory bin and watch your child follow along with the story as they measure, pour, move, play, and enjoy the experience.

You can find each book with a link to Amazon below the sensory bin information as well as on the article here on Rainy Day Mum with the instructions and information about setting up the bins and ideas for activities.

We have included affiliate links to some of the products and resources as an associate we may earn from qualifying purchases.
