The sun is out and thanks to our move last year we are just a couple of miles from the beach and it’s inspired us to get creative. The kids love it when where we visit or their interests inspired us further and this is no exception. Here are our favourite Summer Beach Themed Crafts for Kids – ideal to Pin and come back to once their summer break starts or when you and the kids return from the beach this year.
Seashell Crafts for Kids to Make
Whether it’s made from the shells that you collect at the beach or inspired by the visit to the beach you are sure to find something to do this summer with these fun crafts.
Make pretty pastel coloured seashells with our full tutorial on how to dye seashells using things you have at home. I was sent a picture of someone that had done them with green and covered them in glitter and they looked amazing. A must try activity for the summer months after any beach visit.
If you aren’t up for dying the seashells then why not give painting them a go – the kids will love doing this although I do recommend that you use bigger shells as then you have more area for the kids to paint. Find instructions and tips on doing this with even the youngest of children with Painting Seashells on Pink and Green Mama.
Combine two of the beach elements in this fun seashell craft from Mess for Less – not got any coloured sand to hand don’t worry we have instructions on how to make your own.
I can’t keep my kids out of the water and if you are lucky enough to live where there are tropical fish then use some of those beach finds and make these Tropical Seashells Fish from Crafts by Amanda.

Kids love getting messy and painting with their bodies so these Starfish Foot Prints from Easy Peasy Fun will go down a hit this summer with the kids especially if you have found some after exploring the rock pools at the beach.
Jelly Fish are one of my favourite animals ~ well they are food for Sea Turtles after all! and these Suncatcher Jelly Fish from I heart Craft Things are very cute and colourful.
