One of the Joy's of the season is bringing in our Christmas Tree and decorating it with the kids, today's story as part of the Story Book Advent (running all through December) is A wish to be a Christmas tree a tale of a trees on Christmas Tree Farm, sitting amongst the trees that get picked each year is one tree that has a crocked little top, each year that tree has been overlocked in favour of the other trees that are big and bushy and straight standing tall and proud. Over looked this tree grows year after year until even without it's crooked top it would be too tall to fit inside a house, this leaves the little tree sad, but it's forest friends know how to cheer him up and decorate him with natural ornaments from the forest around them, Adventure in a box introduces us to the book as well as brings it alive.
Using air drying clay Liska over at Adventures in a box brings the tale alive with Christmas Tree Ornaments that Children can make at home with you, air drying clay is fantastic to work with for children being harder to roll and manipulate than say playdough it helps to work on fine motor skills and develop those muscles needed for writing.
