Virtual Book Club for Kids Summer Camp
For the 6th year, myself, Kim (The Educators’ Spin On It) and Kristina (Toddler Approved) have put together 3 weeks of SIMPLE, EASY TO DO, PLANNED and ORGANISED activities, crafts and fun that you can do at home with your kids.
Using supplies we have easily available we’ve put together step-by-step guides for 45 traditional Summer Camp themed activities suitable for kids from toddler to round 11 to do. So that you can forget about the planning and just be a mum.
Is this online camp for you?
A couple of week’s ago I spent a morning talking about my childhood memories and things that I miss. A lot were to do with summer, spending time with my parents and simple things that created the memories that we look back on now, 20, 30, 40+ year’s later.
I know times have changed and today we as parents were are hooked up 24hrs 7 days a week. The time we have is so much less than we would like.
Instead of spending lots of time with our kids we need to think about making the time that we do have available the best we can.
And that puts even more pressure on us.
I know in the last 2 weeks my kids have been off school for Easter and I have been sitting on Pinterest looking for things to do, checking out the local listings of events and trying to co-ordinate with friends and family to see them as well…
I seem to be spending as much time doing all that planning as I’m actually spending with the kids. I wish someone would hand me a plan say,
- here’s the equipment you need,
- here are your activities step-by-step,
- here’s how you could put it together in the week
- and by the way – if you need more ideas, another mum to chat with that’s doing it just jump online here and someone will be around
If that describes what you need then our Virtual Book Club for Kids Summer Camp is exactly it!
Kim, Kristina and I are busy mums, we run our own businesses online, we have 2+ kids each and we know the rabbit hole that Pinterest is when we start looking for ideas. But for the last 5 years, we’ve sat down, planned for you, experimented, tested, trialed and prepared a camp programme that you can do yourself at home!
That you and the kids will LOVE!
But wait I have 2+ kids of different ages and abilities! It can’t work!
One of the biggest questions we get asked about the online camp from parents is “Will it work for my kids?”.
The answer is yes!
Year after year the camp planning has grown as our kids have grown and our experience of different ages whereas when we started it was written with only 2 age groups in mind, toddlers and preschoolers, we now write what could be 3 different camps and combine it together covering from around 18 months all the way through to your tweens!
But, when you register to join the camp you get the whole package. Each activity has suggestions for younger and older children so the same idea, equipment can be used meaning that you can all have fun together.
You can choose to do just the activities designated for your child’s age or you can pick the ones that appeal to you and your children the most and use the adaptions as needed.
I know that is what I need and needed! Especially looking back at that time when I had a just 2-year-old and a 4-year-old. Such a big difference in ability but close in age I needed ideas that I could do with both at the same time. Without one getting frustrated that it was too difficult or the other finding it too easy and getting bored so all it resulted in was me getting angry and the kids not wanting to do it anymore that day.
The Nitty Gritty
Sounds good doesn’t it, it’s got to cost a fortune but that’s the other thing we write this with you in mind, we know how much summer camps can cost, we know how much childcare can cost and we know how much we would pay for something like this!
So the camp is $24.99 one-off fee.
BUT HANG ON – my kids don’t finish school until 24th July!!! That’s when the schools finish in the UK!
So that’s sorted out, we provide the activity guides, the supply lists, the book suggestions, the extra activities, schedule ideas and more and you can fit it in when you are ready. Whether you join us live for the 3 weeks in June or whether you do it over the whole of your summer, or arrange weekly activity play dates with other families and do it then it’s up to you. You have access all SUMMER LONG!
It’s flexible! You do it when you want!
We don’t remove the materials at the end of our “live” camp it carries on.
So what EXACTLY do I get then?
Here’s what you get for your money –
- A supply list week’s ahead of materials that you will have easily accessible and usually at home
- Book suggestions so you can pick a couple of our recommendations to read together during the weeks
- Sample schedules for how we run the camps at home in our houses and some from past campers too
- Step-by-Step Activity guides that you can read online or print out and use
PLUS A Bonus of access to our exclusive Facebook Group for Summer Camp Members where Kim, Kristina and I will be hanging out this summer, jumping onto video to chat with you and sharing what we are up to as well. It’s like having a camp organiser in your pocket whilst you have the fun at home with the kids, and more mums just like you all doing the activities and sharing the experiences with their kids as well.
