Crazy Sea Monster Craft for Kids

Ever wondered what a sea monster with hair would look like?  Maybe they would have long hair or short hair? Curly hair or straight or even brightly coloured hair?  Barry the Fish with Fingers wonders the same when he meets a strange sea creature! In the Hairy Scary Monster, Barry and his friends are afraid of the hairy sea monster, yet soon discover a new friend!  But what to do with all that hair?  Well they just hold a party and wear some brilliant new looks too!

How to make your Sea Monsters

Take the card and cut out some basic fish shapes and some round shapes.  Cover these with glue and stick on the coloured or patterned paper then leave to dry.

Next, you need to stick on some googly eyes and add a big smile to your fish and monster heads.

Then, you can take some of the wool and cut lots of lengths.  Stick these to one side of the double-sided sticky tape, these will be the hair, beards and moustaches for your monsters and fish.

Cut a length of the woolly tape and stick them onto head, lip or chin of your fish and sea monsters.  Now you have some hairy, scary monsters to play with!

Once you have made your hairy sea monsters and fish, you can style them by adding ribbon bows, tying them up with elastic bands and adding some sparkly jewels too!
