Favourite Toddler and Preschool Leaf Books

Do your kids love leaves? My toddler and preschooler love autumn because of the leaves and as soon as they see the changes in the colours they start to get excited. At that point I fill up our book basket with a collection of books and stories all about leaves that we can sit and read together. So if your little ones are as excited as mine are then check out their and my favourite leaf books to read together this autumn.

Throughout the autumn one of the most noticeable signs that things are changing here in the UK is the leaves changing colour. Suddenly we have a second bloom where the green leaves of summer are replaced by reds, oranges, yellows, purples, and browns. Toddlers love to observe the difference, collect the leaves and discover what is going on with reading about the changes happening.

If you live in an area where there aren’t any noticeable seasonal changes then it’s also useful for Toddlers and Preschoolers to know what is going on and picking up a book is a great way to see the differences.

I have made a list of my favourite leaf books so you and your little ones can discover, learn, and explore one of our main themes for fall. From going on a leaf hunt, searching for leaf man, and learning exactly why leaves change colors, this list has it all.

Check out our list of autumn books and stories for even more fall reading for toddlers and preschoolers.
