Growing Activities and Crafts

With Spring in the air and the clocks gone forward we’re spending more and more time outside and that means growing things so from last weeks Tuesday Tots I’ve selected some fabulous Growing Activities and Crafts perfect for Spring for your tots.

Growing Activities and Crafts

First off from our own archives last week advice on starting off seeds as well as how to make your own cardboard tube seed pots that can be planted out afterwards as they will compost down.

Spark and Pooky are also growing seeds – they too are using cardboard tubes but have combined with another item from the junk modelling box and are growing some sweet peas.

The Fairy and the Frog is getting crafty making some model flowers perfect for Spring.

Investigating plants is a great way to introduce young kids to botany and spring is the perfect time – Science Sparks has a fun activity to do just that.

Over at ABC Creative Learning they are thinking ahead and producing some fun Sunflower hand print art.

Another craft this time from My Little 3 and me and they are producing some fabulous growing flowers.

Minnie Mama has some great ideas for turning a fun spring process art into some great Art work for the wall and windows – I will be trying this with T later this week.

Finally from Sun Hats and Wellie Boots a great growing activity with a focus on the Easter Story.
