Well it’s almost Easter and we have 5 Easter books for babies and toddlers and you to enjoy together.
Our first book you will have seen us create some Easy Collage Eggs and some Edible Art with in the week.

The Easter Egg by Jan Brett is a lovely story of a little bunny on the hunt for the perfect Easter Egg – check out the you tube video or click on the image above to order a gorgeously illustrated book for your collection. Did you check out some of the other craft ideas that you could use to enhance the story telling. This is definietly book for an older toddler and J loves it when it’s quiet time but T gets bored.

Our second book is Spot’s First Easter – this is a great little hunt the egg tale for babies and toddlers – T loves lifting the flaps and as she is familiar with Spot from the other books that we have with him in we can ask “Where’s Spot” and she will point to Spot in the book (pointing is her big new thing this weekend).

For our third book we have gone with The Easter Story – I didn’t want J and T just to think that Easter is about Eggs and Bunnies but I wanted them to understand the reasons behind why we have Easter so this first bible story is great for giving them the story of Easter that is easy for them to understand.

The Bunny that found Easter is a lovely tale about a little bunny that is lonely and wants to find some friends – he is told by a wise owl that there are always plenty of bunnies at Easter and so his hunt for Easter starts – the illustrations are lovely and we’re using it with J to help him understand the waiting for times of the year to come around again.

This weeks last book is Here Comes Easter a hunt for Easter Eggs across the pages of this board book – it’s great for T as really colourful and has some pages with touch/feely items on. There is also a lift the flap which has to be T’s favourite part.
I hope you enjoy this weeks books and would love to hear of any Easter Book recommendations you have as well.
