There is a point in late Summer every year that I get very excited as I launch the coming year’s Virtual Book Club for Kids. This year is even more exciting, we have decided to make it weekly so each week Kristina (Toddler Approved), Kim (The Educators’ Spin On It), a variety of amazing co-hosts and myself will be sharing a themed book and creating fun activities for your 2 – 5-year-olds around the theme.
Weekly Virtual Book Club for Kids
So how is this going to work – if you’ve followed us for a while you will know that we have shared a book once a month from classic childhood authors and we know that you have loved the ideas and activities that we have shared. This year we want to help you even further to bring books alive for your kids.
So starting on the 12th September we will be sharing an activity every MONDAY during school time with a featured popular children’s picture book, an activity to bring it alive for your kids, some other suggestions of books and links through to the other co-hosts for the week.
Book List and Themes
Each week we have tried to choose a book that you should easily find at the library or there is a reading on YouTube for however, if you would like to supplement your library for ease I’ve included links through to the books on Amazon for you below.
The next book list will be released at the beginning of October and have November’s themes and featured books on.

How you can Join in
We want you to join in along with is so we’ve set up a Facebook Group that each week we will be sharing prior to the activity additional book lists for the theme, as well as ALL of the activities in one place each week and if that’s not enough we’re looking to find extra activities that support the week’s theme as well.
Come and join us in this great community focusing on Bringing Books Alive for 2 to 5 years olds through the Themed Weekly Virtual Book Club for Kids.
If you aren’t on Facebook don’t worry you can get updates for us from our weekly newsletter just click on the box below to join, follow our Storybook Activities Pinterest Board or bookmark the Book Activities Page on Rainy Day Mum and check back on a Monday.
