Stained Glass Salt Dough Christmas Ornaments

Ingredients

cups
plain flour
all purpose flour in the USA

cup
table salt
¾
cup
water
hard boiled sweet/candy
jolly ranchers or life savers
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 100C or 200F degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and water and mix well.
Form the mixture into a ball with your hands, knead, and set on a piece of parchment paper.
Roll the salt dough out to 1/4” thick and use a large star cookie cutters to cut out about 4-5 stars.
Use a smaller star cookie cutter and cut a smaller star inside the larger star.
Place the cookie cutter shapes onto the baking pan and use a wooden skewer or straw to stick a hole into the top of the ornaments.
Bake for 90 minutes.
Carefully remove the ornaments. Crush your candy pieces and place about 4 candies into the center of each star.
Finish baking until the candy in the center has melted.
Carefully remove the ornaments from the oven and let cool.
Tie a piece of thin ribbon or string through the holes and use to hang on your Christmas tree.
