Make up the salt dough according to the recipe linked above.
Knead until smooth.
Roll out the dough to around 1cm thick.
Using the gingerbread men cookie cutters cut out as many as you can from the dough. Remove the excess combine and create more. Until you have used all of the salt dough.
Now take the straw and form a hole between the legs of each gingerbread man. This is where you will hang your reindeer from!
Transfer the decorations to a lined baking tray and place in the oven on the lowest heat for around 1 and a half hours until they are thoroughly dry.
Remove and allow to cool.
Now paint! Start with painting white dots around the head of the gingerbread man.
Add in a bright red nose to the head.
Place 2 white dots for eyes above the red nose.
Now paint in the arms with the brown. These are to be the ears.
Mix a little white with the brown and use this light brown to draw in the antlers down the legs of the reindeer.
Leave to dry.
Finished off the painting with black dots in the eyes and if you like a set of white dots around the ears of the reindeer.
Allow drying before threading the ribbon or twine so you don't smudge the painting.
Now thread the ribbon or twine and hang on the Christmas Tree.
