Homemade Greek Waffles
Homemade Greek Waffles, a savoury waffle recipe ideal for lunch or light family supper. With Feta cheese and a simple Greek Salad

Ingredients
250
g
plain flour

tablespoon
caster sugar

tablespoon
baking powder
salt to taste
pepper to taste

ml
Semi Skimmed Milk

Butter Melted
3
medium free range egg
1
tablespoon
basil
1
tablespoon
oregano

Feta Crumbled

Small cherry tomatoes chopped into quarters
Instructions
Heat up the iron whilst you make your waffle mix
Into a bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper
In a jug mix the milk, butter and egg
Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add in the liquid
Whisk but don't worry if it is lumpy
Add in your basil, oregano, crumbled feta and chopped cherry tomatoes
Whisk before you pour each waffle *otherwise you end up with 1 person getting ALL of the feta and tomatoes*
Pour around 1/3 of the mix into the waffle iron
Close the lid and wait for them to be ready
Serve with a small greek salad of beef tomatoes, cucumber, crumbled feta and some olive oil and balsamic or red wine vinegar
