Creative Fun - Hearts Bunting
Sometimes it's the simple things that are best for play dates - especially with a mix of ages. Recently, we set up a simple Creation Station for a Valentines playdate, and the children got creative with the materials provided. We then turned their creations into a cute Hearts Bunting decoration.
Materials needed for the Valentines Playdate Creation Station
Card in various shades of Pink and Red

Valentines Playdate Creative fun
For our simple Creation Station for the 3 children at the playdate, I cut up a selection of hearts for them to decorate.
Using Dot Markers instead of normal paint, kept mess to a minimum, and with children of various ages at the creation station, they were able to use their own skills, decorating the hearts in the way that they wanted. Because we had very young children (under 2's) we avoided putting out the scissors but with an older play date that would be great.
Once the children had decorated the hearts (and it really doesn't matter if they do both sides - yes J is one of those children) We then hole-punched the corners and used some sparkly ribbon (left over from Christmas wrapping) to string the hearts together into a bunting that we could decorate our room with.

What a pretty bunting! I haven't set out any simple activities lately and we haven't made bunting for Valentine's yet. I think we'll do this tomorrow, especially since it's supposed to be rainy here where I live :p
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting the hang-out, I was disappointed that I wasn't able to see it at the time. Those buntings are great, and I love the open invitation for creating!
