Daily SPPP on tour 3

Thank you Cerys for kindly letting me stop by and share a tool that’ll help you get more play and kinder parenting in the family.

I’m Melitsa from RaisingPlayfultots.com. When our children are little it’s hard to think further to when they are school aged and beyond. There’s a lot of pressure, mostly from ourselves, to cherish and love every moment.

But parenting and play is hard sometimes especially when you’re adding to your family regularly.

These early years really shape how are family eventually becomes….the atmosphere at home, the dinner time rituals, the way we speak and interact with each other, how we say sorry, how we have fun, how we lose a game. ( Gracefully!)

We love this little stage…..all that other stuff will come. ( or so we think!)

The problem is those things have a way of creeping up on us and before long we’re trying to break habits, set new boundaries and things are tough.

Why not start laying out your family haven from the beginning deliberately and slowly choosing what you want as a family.

The Simple Parenting and Simple Play Planner is a new workbook, planner and calendar that helps you plan your activities together as a family for now and your future. Play is often one of the first things to get squeezed as household and work events take over.

Let’s take a look inside the planner

Realising that life doesn't have to be put on hold and you don't just have to survive whilst the kids are young she shares ideas to inspire you to LIVE with the kids, with activities to do together, recipes to cook and enjoy and family travel to make memories to last a lifetime.

  1. My biggest struggle is the evening meal because no matter what I serve up they say “yuck”, wriggle, don’t eat, go slow and it is very frustrating night after night. I have two kids 6 & 3 and just when I thought the 6 year old was out of the fussy phase the 3 year has definitely started it 🙁

  2. My biggest struggle at the moment is dealing with sibling rivalry in a calm mama manner! I have three boys and they are gorgeous but very competitive and loud!

  3. At the moment I am struggling with the fact that, as I have now taken on a job, I will not be around to spend my daughter’s first school holidays with her. It’s two weeks until the holidays start. I only work until 2pm so there will still be time do stuff with her, but it is not what I had envisioned for us as a family. Plenty of mother’s guilt here!!

  4. My biggest struggle is when I have the time to sit down and do an activity with my 3yo, not having the right materials to do the things we want. I love the idea of having themes, but I’m not organised enough to think of this in advance. I see great ideas online and think, right I want to do that and make a mental note, but then forget to buy/collect the materials when I’m out.
