Easy Paper Plate Jellyfish Craft for Toddlers
One of our favourite crafting materials for using with toddlers is paper plates. They are more sturdy than paper and because there are round they can be used for some many crafts. This easy paper plate craft is ideal for your ocean loving tots. So here we go our Simple Paper Plate Jelly Fish to make with toddlers.

Jellyfish craft for toddlers
Jellyfish are such an easy craft to do with your toddlers. We made a few as each paper plate can be used to create 2 separate jellies. This version of our craft uses paper but scroll down and we have included a picture of when we created this and instead used bubble wrap for the tentacles.

How to Make Paper Plate Jelly Fish with your Toddler
Cut the paper plate in half – each plate will make 2 Jellyfish.
Now provide an area to create on our toddler loves to paint in his high chair but a small table would work just as well.
Pour the paint into dishes and supply the paint in dishes that are easy for your toddler to access the paints.
I supplied him with sponge brushes however you can see that he spent most of his time decorating with his fingers.
Once he had decorated we hung on the drying wrack we use. It’s just a hang-up washing line but I find it great for drying paintings with.
Whilst they were drying I showed J how to tear the paper into strips and create the tentacles for the Jellyfish.
With the paper plates dry we attached the tentacles with sticky tape and I drew on some faces.

What a cute idea! Thank you for sharing this idea on The Sunday Showcase!
Very cute indeed!
Cute! We did this by gluing colored construction paper strips to a paper plate and my daughter loved it! (The idea came to us on a rainy day as well). Then she played Twister with the remaining leftover plates – I’m sure your kids will love that idea, too 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
