They are delicious and easy to make ahead of time plus look great. So here you go our easy recipe to make with kids some New Year’s Eve Golden Oreo Balls.

Whether you are hosting or heading to friends for New Year’s Eve with the kids these little treats are great to take along and enjoy as you could down to midnight.

Ingredients for Making your New Year’s Eve Treats with Kids

This recipe will make approximately 35 smallish Oreo Balls and you will need at least 1 hour of chilling time.

  • 40 Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white melting chocolate
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Gold and silver sprinkles

You will also need parchment paper and some cake pop sticks or similar for each ball.

Instructions for Making your New Year’s Eve Oreo Treats

1. Crush up your Oreos finely until they are crumb like in consistency.

Crushed up Oreo's and cream cheese in a bowl ready to mix together.

2. Mix together the crushed Oreos and cream cheese until combined.

3. Use a tablespoon scoop the mixture together and form it into a small ball.

4. Stick a cake pop stick into the centre of each ball and place the Oreo balls in the refrigerator to chill for at least one hour.

5. Melt the white chocolate and chocolate chips according to the package instructions.

6. Dip the Oreo balls into the melted chocolate until coated, then immediately decorate with sprinkles.
