Monster Krispie Cakes Recipe for Kids to Make

My kids and I love cooking in the kitchen and always have. It’s one of our special times and today I’m sharing some Monster Krispie Cakes that are so easy kids and you can make them together or as they get a little older they can make supervised by you!

Try this 3-ingredient recipe ideal for kids and you to bake together to make some not so scary monster Krispie cakes perfect for Halloween Treats. Inspired by the book Go Away Big Green Monster by Ed Emberley a fun way to make monsters ever so not scary. #cookingwithkids #halloweenrecipe #kidsinthekitchen #vbcforkids

This recipe I first tried with my kids when they were toddlers (no pictures of that though as I was too busy helping them stir, weigh and heat up the ingredients) but now they are older as you can see they are great at making these themselves. These make an ideal quick and easy Halloween Treat for kids to make or you to rustle up quickly on the day.

This week’s theme for Virtual Book Club for Kids – or weekly book-based themed series for toddlers and preschoolers is Monsters and we have chosen a fantastic book for you and your children to share. This book is not scary and an ideal addition for your Halloween themed book basket as well.

This book which helps children to overcome their fears is cut out so as you read through the monster is revealed and then by magic of not being scared you can make the Big Green Monster go away. Go away, Big Green Monster by Ed Emberley is perfect to read when children are scared of things that go bump in the night and when they need a little bit of reassurance.
