We are messy – there’s painting, cooking, gluing, gardening and more going on in the house all of the time and that means that our main table and the small downstairs bathroom we have are constantly being cleaned. Finding a good cleaning product that I can reach to quickly deal with the mess and move onto the next activity to clear up the mess again is essential. I’ve tried sprays before but it’s always been a double work load – spray wipe and then dry before we can get creative again and if you have kids you know that waiting for something to happen can be endless and they can cause all sorts of mischief in that time if left to their own devices. So we’re trying something new – Plenty Easy Clean Wipes to clear up our mess.
I must admit I’ve never tried wipes before, the fact that you throw them away and they aren’t good for the environment has always put me off but the Plenty Easy Clean Wipes are biodegradable which is a huge bonus and something that I was willing to try. Over half term we managed to put them through their paces, dealing with a condensed weeks worth of mess from our creative family.
Most of our activities are done at the table off our kitchen – it doubles up as my work space, the family dining table, craft table and even a play scape for the kids when they want a flat surface so it’s used constantly and has quick turn around in activities from painting to cooking to me working at the table. It needs to be clean enough to eat off no matter what we’ve done before.
The Plenty Easy Clean Wipes come in a handy container which keeps them dry and makes it especially easy to tear one off and use. Even though the wipes are biodegradable that doesn’t mean that they are flimsy in fact they stayed in shape through major clean ups after a little painting fun with my eldest where the table cloth, chair, his hands and arms were all covered.
Although at first glance the Plenty Easy Clean Wipes container looks like a normal wipe container – once the outside wrapping is removed you are left with a stylish container – I love that it means it doesn’t have to be hidden away and can be left on the side or in our case a window sill and you can reach for it when ever you need to.
I struggled with wipe containers when my kids were babies threading the wipes through the small hole in the top of the cap but the wipes come with a handy needle attached to the first wipe meaning that you can pull it up through the hole and then pull the wipe through the top.
With an antibacterial wipe available as well as a multipurpose and bathroom I was pleased. When we make bread we often use the same side in the kitchen that I use to prepare our meals to be able to quickly wipe down the surface with an antibacterial wipe means that I am secure that no bacterial from our meat preparation is getting onto the dough and I can clear up after kneading the dough quickly again.
We also have a large garden – so on top of the mess from the cooking and creative arts we have a constant hand washing from working outdoors.
Our down stairs bathroom takes a hammering with the paint, food and mud that it goes through, but it’s also the bathroom that any guests to the house use so I want it to look nice – having one of the Plenty Easy Clean Bathroom Wipes on the window sill means that I can quickly clean up any and all of the mess that the kids and we make especially the red paint (it seems to leave a stain on the white sink regularly) which the plenty wipes removed.
Plenty Easy Clean Bathroom Wipes come in 3 varieties – Multi-Purpose, Antibacterial and Bathroom. All wipes are available in Morrison’s, Asda and Waitrose. A starter kit with dispenser and 30 wipes are £2.99 rsp. and refill packs are also available (rsp. £1.99).
