Free Printable Magic Tree House Map

The Magic Tree House books have been a great hit in helping to transition from Early Readers to longer chapter books. They have been brilliant in helping to teach history and geography as well as literacy and even maths. To go along with the series we have been filling in a Where in the World? Magic Tree House Map and now you can too.

We love maps, from our mini homemade globe that we use to learn about the earth, the atlas books we have collected, and our wall map where we mark our family travels.

The giant wall map inspired this printable Magic Tree House Map and we’re loving adding to it as we read the books.

Featuring 2 pages one that has a map of the continents in black and white and the second page a table where you can record the continent that the book is set and use as a key to complete the map.

Using your Companion Map for the Magic Tree House Series

Apart from 1 book in the original series which is set out of this world the books are set around the world (although in different times). So a map which helps to place the books in context is ideal.

We’ve produced the map so that you can print and use how you wish, but I wanted to share what we have been doing.

I love our Epson EcoTank printer as it allows watercolour paper to go through it and the ink doesn’t bleed when water is applied so it’s perfect for creating printables that can be painted.

Combining Art and Learning is great – it puts an emphasis on presentation and also encourages my more reluctant learner to want to do the work as they love art!

So once printed she then got our her watercolour paints and coloured the map in.

Once the map was dry she then started to label the places where the books are set.

The second sheet of the free printable is a table where your child can fill in the book tables under each of the continents.

The Magic Tree House Book Series by Mary Pope Osborne is a series of books where Annie and Jack travel around the world and through time in a magic tree house.

It’s aimed at 6 – 9 year olds (depending on reading ability) and is a great way to teach history, geography and other subjects through the series.

To save money they are also available on Kindle and with Audible where they are much cheaper as well. You can Try Audible and Get Two Free Audiobooks with a 30-day Trial. It’s something that we have found really useful over the last few months.

  1. I am using the MTH books with my small groups and thought it would be fun to map the different places each book visits.
