On this site I share a little bit of our life, it used to be just arts and crafts for kids especially when they were babies and toddlers, but as they have got older I’ve also started to introduce more of the other sides of our life – if you want a more accurate picture you should really follow us over on Instagram and you’ll see the real us from the arts and crafts, recipes, to the major garden project we’re undertaking this year through to trying to teach myself to crochet and everything else! With all of the different aspect to me and wanting to budget finding a magazine that meets my life has been an issue – possibly why I have many Pinterest account including one that I share with my husband where we pin gardening, DIY, recipes, holiday ideas, our dream home and use it as a family magazine specially designed for us. But nothing beats sitting down with a cup of coffee and flicking through a magazine after a trip to the store or when your subscription arrives. Landlust may just fill my need in a magazine that covers it all.
Started in German 10 years ago and launched this month in the UK, Landlust’s tagline is Spirit of the countryside. Now despite living in a town I am a country girl at heart having grown up in a small village near a rural town and hating the two years I lived in a big town whilst at University. Flicking through the pages the first impression I got was that this was me. There were articles on gardening, nature, recipes that screamed winter comfort food and then crafts – and this is where it stood out above other magazine’s I have tried a mix of different crafts for adults, older kids and that families can do together.
Just over a year ago I switched onto youtube and started to follow some learn to crochet video’s over the last year I’ve been picking up my hook and getting some yarn and have a go – to see a mix of crafts within the magazine including crochet, knitting, fabrics, wood and more was fantastic – I have brought my sock yarn now and will be giving these Two in One glove ago.
Handmade baby blanket using the #rescuedpaw pattern. In rainbow colours and with a slightly altered border from the original as I wanted to continue with the sc 2dc pattern of the blanket body. #crochet #crochetaddict #babyafghan #babyblanket #handmade #creativemama #igcrochet #kidbloggersofig #kbnmoms #momsoninstagram
We received a copy of the magazine and some lovely gifts from Landlust to celebrate their launch.
