Tis’ that Season – to get out doors and start growing stuff. For us gardening is really important, it connects us with nature plus we have a very large garden so is essential otherwise the weeds take over and even the wildlife stay away.
Over the winter you will have read about us exploring outside at least once a week and as the weather warms up we will be doing more including lots of crafts, messy play and activities outside but that could equally be done inside. Above is our vegetable garden – yes it’s very overgrown but it has great potential – and by Harvest time I hope to be able to show you what we have transformed it into.
But we’re also introducing growing green-fingered kids as a fairly regular feature (I’m hoping for once a week but that is very weather dependent). This week you will see our first green fingered post with a little Twitter based competition as well for those twitter fans who seem to get left out in a lot of things as well as a garden read for the kids.
