I can paint a rainbow

painting rainbows

With so much rain recently we need to look at the sunny side of it so I set up a very simple rainbow painting for J to do. We like to sing about rainbows and know 2 songs – I can sing a rainbow but as J pointed out when we were looking at a rainbow there isn’t any pink in it! The other song is from a Cbeebies TV show – Show me Show Me

I drew a very simple rainbow outline for J and then asked him what colours make up a rainbow – he then sang me the rainbow song and we poured out the paints together into 2 muffin containers so that he could use them all.

J then had lots of fun colouring in his rainbow with the paints. I’m very impressed with what he produced less than a month ago it would have all been brown as he would have mixed up the colours together but he spent a lot of time trying to make sure that the colours were separate so that we could see that it was a rainbow.
