Spooky the Square Pumpkin
A classic and a family favourite that we all love Spook the Square Pumpkin is on Netflix this year and it’s perfect for a rainy afternoon with the kids.
Ghost Patrol
If you have a preschooler that loves Paw Patrol then Ghost Patrol will be a hit. This short film (only 47 mins) is perfect for your little ones and you to watch together.
Alvin and the Chipmunks
This year there are 2 Alvin offerings – Alvin and the Chipmunks meet Frankenstein and Alvin and the Chipmunks meet the Wolfman. If your kids love these little creatures then these are ideal to watch with them.
Pocoyo: Halloween Spooky Movies
A great toddler friendly Halloween special featuring Pocoyo. In this short (21mins) film they find a spooky box but what is inside it!
Starbeam Halloween Hero
Someone is stealing all the treats for the trick or treaters! But Starbeam is there to save the day. This Netflix special is great to watch together this year.
Best for School Kids
Although my kids still loved the toddler and preschool films for a while here’s our pick of the best that are great for primary kids. Check them out first though to see how you think your own child will cope as every child is different.
Adams Family
A cartoon version of the classic this is great for kids and introduces them to the characters. You will also find the movie versions to watch on Netflix so take your pick.
Hotel Transylvania
With 3 movies and a series if you like Hotel Transylvania and the monsters in them then there is lots to choose from this year.
The Worst Witch
We loved the books so watching the series has been a must for us and the Worst Witch is great for primary aged kids.
Dreamworks Spooky Stories
Three of the best spooky stories from Dreamworks including Scared Shrekless our personal favourite.

Goosebumps
This book series is now 2 movies and both are there for your viewing pleasure on Netflix. Perfect for some spooky, scary Halloween Family movie fun.
Monster House
On child loved it, the other walked out because they were scared. But came back later to continue Monster House is a CGI animation and great for some scary spooky Halloween viewing.
Captain Underpants Hackaween
My kids favourite as they love Captain Underpants at the moment so the Hackaween is great. I think we must have watched this hundreds of times already this month!
Corpse Bride
My personal favourite and one that I have left till last the Corpse Bride. As a fan of Tim Burton movies this is the one that we will be watching as a family this Halloween night.
