I like including a few books on our bookshelf for the different seasons and celebrations throughout the year these Easter Books for babies and toddlers are great for reading aloud together and sharing. They also make great Easter basket gifts that encourage literacy and reading and are candy free. We hope you have many hours to snuggle up with your child and read a good book this spring. Here are our favorite Easter books designed especially for children ages 0-2. The books selected have bright colors, simple text, and often times, interactive pages.

Biscuit’s Pet & Play Easter
This chunky touch-and-feel Easter book is perfect for babies and toddlers. It has colorful pictures, short text, and pages for little ones to turn and touch. Set this book out next to your little one during tummy time to encourage literacy and book interactions from a very early age. See if they will scoot or crawl to pat the soft yellow chick!
The Itsy Bitsy Bunny
In an adorable twist of the classic “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” babies and toddlers will delight in hearing a familiar tune – bunny style in The Itsy Bitsy Bunny.
“The itsy bitsy bunny was hopping up the trail
Down fell the baskets past his tiny tail
Out came his friends to help him on his way.
For the itsy bitsy bunny was planning Easter day.”
Spot’s First Easter Board Book (Spot Lift the Flap)
Spot fans will adore counting and searching for Easter eggs with Spot in Spot’s First Easter. Where is the Easter bunny? Encourage your baby or toddler to point to the bunny. You can find him on every page!
Parent tip – if your little likes to rip paper, reinforce the flaps with a little bit of packing tape on the flap.

Peep, Peep, I Love You! (Padded Cloth Covers with Lift-the-Flaps)
Moo and Baa with your little ones in Peep, Peep, I Love you! This book may “look” like the perfect Easter Book for Babies, but it really is a sweet book about animals on the farm and their love for their babies. Meaning, you can add it to your child’s Easter Basket, but read it year round!
Hoppity Hop Peekaboo!
Babies and toddlers LOVE playing peekaboo and will request Hoppity Hop Peekaboo over and over again to keep playing the game. Peekaboo is a fabulous game for strengthening baby’s senses, visual tracking, social development and the understanding of object permanence. The bunny is still there even though she can’t see it, it still exists.
Fisher-Price Little People: Easter Is Here! (Lift-the-Flap)
There is something about this series and Easter is here! that draws my little ones in. (We have the books for almost every holiday) I think it is the action-packed pages combined with the fact that we own and play with our little people, making it a more personal connection to the book for our toddlers. *Just released January 2016
Where Are Baby’s Easter Eggs?: A Lift-the-Flap Book
YES, it’s another lift-the-flap Easter book. Why? Because Karen Katz’s babies are just so beautifully simple that we have yet to meet a baby or toddler that doesn’t love them. Where are Baby’s Easter Eggs only has only 6 flaps, making it a great first lift the flap book.
Grandparents – Consider starting a Karen Katz tradition and give a book to your new grandbabies every holiday!
Duck & Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny!
The Easter Bunny is coming and Duck and Goose want to find a good hiding place so they can see him when he arrives. There are some issues with the hiding places… and little ones learn vocabulary such as “too high.” An older toddler could act out the book with a stuffed duck or goose.
