Eric Carle is such a classic children’s author and discovering his Christmas/Winter themed book Dream Snow this year through the Story Book Advent has been such a Joy. Today Jen from Kitchen Counter Chronicles introduces us to the book and creates a beautiful simple DIY craft for the kids to do bringing the book alive. Dream snow featuring Eric Carle’s distinctive illustrations is a tale of a farmer with a few animals. On Christmas Eve he goes to sleep only to dream that it is snowing and his animals are been covered, his animals names one, through to five are revealed from under “blankets” of snow. Awakening on Christmas Morning he discovers the snow isn’t a dream and he has forgotten something very important, donning a red coat he looks very similar to Father Christmas he decorates a tree and with a musical ending this book could easily become a much loved favourite among children every Christmas.
