Day 7 of the 30 days for Hands on Play Challenge and the end of the first week. We’ve had so much fun. J is really eager to carry on playing with the activties that we have been doing. The islands have been placed on the floor so many times and bath toys have found their way downstairs to swim in the sea. Our playdough is being played with every day. So here is today’s mission statement
Now this one for us has to have some adaption… I would like to give you a moment to contemplate we have a 13 month old T, a 32 month old J and a greyhound who doesn’t realise how big a dog she actually is. So Mega Floor Doodles is quite difficult for us – we did try. The dog sat on the paper I had attached to the kitchen floor. T ran off with the crayons we had put out to draw with… RETHINK

Instead I have a roll of drawing paper which I steched along our crafting table and J and I sat together with T on my knee and we doodled on the paper. It was a really big hit – there was lots of Mummy Draw this or that – but we drew together. T had a go as well. I love that she copies what J does and is starting to make marks way before J did because of having an older brother as an influence.
The megadoodles has been such a hit that we are going to put down doodling paper each day so that we can go to it whenever we want.
