Coloured Bubbles Recipe for Art and Fun with Toddlers and Preschoolers
Did you know that you can make coloured bubbles?
No, they won’t be bright red as they float through the sky. But you will see more colours in them than normal and if you manage to burst them onto paper you can create some fun art with them.
We’ve used our homemade bubble mix and added in some colours and then had loads of fun creating colours in the sky.
So why not head outside with your toddlers and preschooler this spring and summer and create some beautifully coloured bubble fun in the sky.
Coloured Bubbles Mix
Be warned! When the bubbles pop they squirt the colouring onto where ever you are playing. Patios, decks and garden furniture will be covered.
It is really simple to do just follow the recipe below to make your own mix and then head out into the garden to create some art or just have fun with the coloured bubbles.
You can make your own bubble wands like we did with pipe cleaners (shown in the picture above) or you can use a set.
Making Coloured Bubble Art
This will require 2 people.
You can either blow the bubbles or create the art with your tot doing the other job.
It’s easy just get some paper and you are going to make the bubbles splat on it by chasing them and letting them burst.
The burst will release the colour and you’ll end up with a splat bubble artwork with your child.
