Another apology but with just me at home this was impossible to take pictures of whilst we were doing it – I tried and that was a disaster unless you like pictures of washing lines.
Edited – Here is a picture attempt that shows the blue bubble being blown
What you need
Bubble making wand (or a kit)
Food colouring of various colours
Dishes to decant some of the mix into
Space to blow bubbles and run around
How the fun happens
Decant some of the bubble mix into each of the dishes and add some food colouring to the bubble mix. Stir so that it thoroughly mixed. Go outside and blow the bubbles.
The bubbles have a hint of the colour in sunny conditions but when it became overcast it was easier to see the colours in the bubbles. My toddler loved chasing them around the garden and popping them. We are learning colours at the moment so the idea of the activity was for J to pop bubbles of certain colours but… this turned into a mass burst as many bubbles as possible and counting them as he did.
We spent 45 mins doing this which for him is amazing.
Be warned – when the bubbles pop they squirt the food colouring onto where ever you are playing – my deck is covered now in red, blue, yellow and green splats from the burst bubbles.
