It’s taken us a while but we’ve finally been able to move away from the kids wanting the same things every day for lunch but with this means we get the “Oh no not sandwiches again” and then my youngest going “But I HATE sliced bread” so we’ve partnered with Flora to give you some fantastic ideas I’ve been sending the kids off to school with this term so far as an alternative to sandwich.

Build your own lunch - a kid friendly alternative to sliced bread lunch box that they can make the night before with you

Using simple ingredients that I know will fill them up for the day our build your own lunch is ideal for kids that like to have a little freedom and the nice thing is that you can add what ever you want to make it suitable for your kids. The best thing about this build your own lunch – we make it together the night before it takes a few extra minutes but it’s time spent one on one with each child and then they have had input into their lunch, improved on some of the food preparation skills and if they put anything in it they don’t like – well silly them!
