There is something that I've always coveted in home magazines and that's lovely fresh white bed sheets and when visiting hotels it's something that makes a hotel when there are crisp white sheets but for my home it's always been a no no. Because I know within a few washes those white sheets will go grey, the coffee, juice and chocolate that will be spilt or smeared on them from having little ones that think there is nothing better than eating chocolate chip cookies in bed whilst jumping around just means that I've always avoided them but as March's Vanish Blogger Challenge I jumped feet first with white bed linen.
If you've seen our Laundry Life Hack post you will know that we're a weekly bed sheet changer and I've been really good each week putting the same sheets back on the bed at the end of the day after they have been washed instead of using one of our older sets so this means that in the last month they have been in and out of the wash at least 4 times - plus the extra when I spilt my black coffee down the side of the pillow!
So 5 washes and one that went in with a black sock (thanks KIDS!) and as you can see our bed is looking great - the fabulous vanish chart shows that they are still as white as they were new - they are also fresh and dreamy to sleep in.
We're heading into summer and I've brought at least 2 white t-shirts for myself and I'm considering getting a white skirt for T for summer as well despite her inability to eat ice lollies without half of it ending up down her because of the success that we've had with the Vanish Gold for white's which is now a regular item on our shopping list and gets added to each of the white washes. We're loving it so much that we've also started to buy the Vanish Gold to use on our coloured wash and I've been surprised as how much brighter and cleaner all of our clothes are.
This is a sponsored post on behalf of Vanish Gold for Whites - we were supplied with the white bed linen for the trail but all words, pictures and thoughts are our own.
