I'm so excited by some of the things that we have planned over the summer - it's official that this will be the last summer where J, T and myself are all together for the whole of the summer as in September J will start pre-school. We lucky to have found one that is perfect for us with outdoor play encouraged and a story based curriculum - something that I am over the moon about.
So this summer we are making it a summer of early learning fun. I don't mean that we will be sitting down learning from books and flash cards - no that's not our way of learning at all it's all play based.
Starting off we have the Summer Virtual Book Club start 18th June where we will be playing and having fun around a Mo Willems Book, we also have joined in with My Little Bookcase Year of reading project and will be posting about project #4 very soon where we are having a Date with a book character.
Even bigger news we're joining in with PBS and MeMeTales to bring you Summer Readathon 2012 where we are one of the blogs chosen to bring you an activity based on the weekly themes and books for 6 weeks over the summer. More about that next week.
J, T and I will be doing lots of outdoor fun learning about our natural environment - we also have some field trips planned to interesting and new places for us as well as what I hope will be the first of many trips to the museums.
So that is some of our summer of early learning fun - what fun learning will you be doing over the summer?
