Creative Fun – Hearts Bunting
Sometimes it’s the simple things that are best for play dates and especially with a mix of ages so we set up a simple Creation Station at a recent Valentines playdate and left the children to get creative with the materials provides then turned their creations into some cute Hearts Bunting for decoration.

Valentines Playdate Creative fun
I set up a simple Creation Station for the children at the playdate – with 3 children I cut up a selection of hearts for the children to decorate and then left them to get creative on their own.
Using Dot Markers instead of normal paint there was a lot less mess than there could have been and with children of various ages the creation station meant that they could use their own skills and develop the hearts in the way that they wanted. Because we had very young children (under 2′s) we avoided putting out the scissors but with an older play date that would be great.
Once the children had decorated the hearts (and it really doesn’t matter if they do both sides – yes J is one of those children) We then hole punched in the corners and used some sparkly ribbon left over from Christmas wrapping and used that to string the hearts together and then decorate our room.

Thanks for posting the hang-out, I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to see it at the time. Those buntings are great, and I love the open invitation for creating!

What a pretty bunting! I haven’t set out any simple activities lately and we haven’t made bunting for Valentine’s yet. I think we’ll do this tomorrow, especially since it’s supposed to be rainy here where I live :p

Gorgeous. So simple and great that the little ones can handle it. The result is so pretty too.
