Science for toddlers and preschoolers

Crafting, Experimenting and Exploring with Science

This week on Tuesday Tots I’m featuring some posts from last week with a Science focus – whether crafting to explore biology and earth science with the tots, exploring the outdoor environment or experiments there’s a lot of fun to be had with some science for toddlers and preschoolers this week.

Science for toddlers and preschoolers

First off is a DIY stethoscope from Science Sparks – once I’ve brought a funnel (yes I actually don’t have one in the house) we’re going to give this a go especially with all of T’s hospital and doctor visits coming up.

Mums Make Lists shares 18 experiments for Sinking and floating this isn’t something I have explored with J and T yet (I’m waiting for some warm weather to do it out in the garden which will be a lot of fun).

Exploring Earth Science is one of the things that is on my to do list this year and this volcano from Zing Zing Tree is fantastic and a must make for us at the time.

With Valentines at the moment I’m sure lots of people have candy hearts lying around in which case how about a science experiment using them to see what makes them go fizz from Inspiration Laboratories.

Get out and about and explore the world Inspiration Laboratories connected exploring the forest with some fun science for toddlers and preschoolers in their A to Z science series.

Science Sparks G+ CommunityIf you want to explore science more with your kids then why not come and join us in the Science Sparks G+ Community, or how about checking out this collaborative Preschool Science Pinterest Board from Emma at Science Sparks or this more general Science one from Red Ted Art for more ideas.
