Easy Kid Friendly Christmas Mince Pies

Christmas isn’t Christmas without mince pies – these Easy Mince Pie Recipe is made with delicious fruity mincemeat which in the UK you can find in store year round and if you live in the US you can get from Amazon. In the past, we have made mince pie’s the really easy way with store bought shortcrust pastry – and although they did taste amazing there is something special about making your own pastry. If you’ve ever tried to make it yourself you will know how temperamental it can be. This recipe is a no roll, no fail buttery flakey pastry that is so easy to make with kids and it can be kneaded as much as they want without being a disaster at the end.

Ingredients for No-Roll EASY Kid Friendly Pastry

225g Unsalted Butter

350g Plain Flour (all purpose)

100g Granulated Sugar

Mincemeat – Available from Amazon.com Robertson’s Classic Mincemeat 14.49oz (411g)

Icing Sugar for Dusting (Confectionary Sugar)

Making No-Roll EASY Kid Friendly Pastry Mince Pies

Easy Mince Pie Recipe ideal for cooking with children this Christmas. No roll buttery pastry that is fail safe and makes delicious mince pies every time.

Start by rubbing the butter into the flour to a breadcrumb consistency.

Then add the sugar

Continue working the dough until it forms together. DO NOT add liquid it will mix together and form a dough.
