Made with Love – Painting

It’s the start of a new Month and Made with love time. This is a time to showcase your me time activities, whether they are for the children, yourself or others we would love for you to link up. My Me time activity that I have made with love this month is a painting – it’s not a new painting but I wanted to share it neverless – this is a painting that My Mum, my sister-in-law and myself made together one Christmas it now has pride of place on my dinning room wall.

We used a mixture of Brusho paints, water colours, acryllic and pen to create the design based on an under the sea theme. I loved that we spent time as a family making something that I treasure and can look at every day as we eat our family meals and remember those times.

This month I’m featuring 3 crafts especially for the children in our lives

First is this Minnie Mouse Hair Clip from Crafts ‘n’ things for children – even though T hasn’t got enough hair yet to do anything with I’m starting to make things for her hair and with her love of Minnie and Mickey Mouse this is one of the things that I am going to make.

Needle felted gifts from Paint Cut Paste – this on my to do list. I’ve been exploring Waldorf Handcrafts (more about Waldorf in the upcoming months) and needle felting is one of the things that I want to do the results are beautiful.

And lastly this height chart from Happy Whimsical heart – I love the simiplicity of this and also the importance of having one. We’ve been measuring J’s height by his ability to turn on our landing light from the bottom of the stairs, each night at bedtime he tries to turn on the light from the step and until yesterday he hasn’t managed it, but yesterday he touch it – now we need to make something that will work for us and I love this idea.
