Tuesday Tots is Cooking with Kids
If you follow Rainy Day Mum you will see that we have been Cooking with J and T a lot recently and inspired by this I’m featuring posts from last week that are cooking with kids. So here’s 18 (ok 9 posts but one has 10 fabulous ideas in it) for cooking with kids.
Starting off with Learners in Bloom that has 10 ideas for Cooking with kids – I’m going to try out the mini pizza’s next with J and T as we are trying more savoury recipes.
Maggy from Life at the Zoo has been making turkey fajitas with her kids – they are a little older than J and T so it’s great to see what we could be doing in a years time with her posts.
Play grow eat has been making snowman krispie cake pops with her children. I love this idea and I’ve now added it to our to do list for next Christmas when we read the Snowman.
Some more snowmen from The Good Long Road who created some delicious looking snowmen with marshmallows.
Mummy Mummy Mum has been reading a classic book by Enid Blyton to her kids and has made google buns from it.
Instead of snowmen why not make some chocolate snowballs for some winter cooking with kids fun like Mess for Less.
Buggy and Buddy have been mixing up some ice cream together and made Banana Ice Cream with Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough – sounds delicious and I bet it could give my favourite brand a run for it’s money.
One of the recipe’s we’re going to try soon is bread making – mixing science, cooking and maths as well as having fun playing with the dough this post from Happy Whimsical Hearts has a great recipe for baking bread.
Would you like more inspiration for cooking with kids or even points on how to get started – I’ve got a few resources up my sleeves to share. First off I have my cooking with toddlers part 1 and cooking with toddlers part 2 posts with advice on how to start and what to do and then some great recipes to set you off.
Over on G+ we have a cooking with kids community to chat about cooking with kids, recipes that work and fun that you have with cooking with kids.
Is Pinterest more your social media of choice – then please come and follow my Cooking with kids pinterest board, and if that doesn’t provide enough inspiration then check out Maggy from Red Ted Art’s Cooking with Kids board as well.
