A year in the Rainy Day House

It seems unreal that a year ago today I sat in the evening and wrote A Rainy Afternoon my first ever post on Rainy Day Mum. I never imagined that a year on I would have lost the wordpress.com part of my web address and be hosting my own blog. That I would work behind the scences with amazing women and men from around the world to bring you fun ideas and activities every month with our blog hops, virtual book clubs and share ideas through the many linky parties that are hosted each week.

I decided  to celebrate I would share my 12 favourite posts of the last year with you, 1 from each month.

March 2012 – Froggy Times

Spring and we met the Frogs, first we hunted for them – I couldn’t believe that almost a year since his obsession with them started J was still going strong about them and we had such fun hunting for them.

Frog Hunting April 2012 – Science

Our first science experiments started in April and J and I looked at plants and transpiration (or drinking as we are calling it at the moment!). He picked a daffodil and we then made dots on the petals with blue coloured water.

May 2012 – Playdough just Playdough

As T has stopped putting things in her mouth as much and is starting to not eat everything we’ve started to play with playdough. This is a huge step for her and one that she is enjoying so much.
