What do you have in your fridge that is essentials you just can’t live without? I mean apart from like Milk and if you keep Bread in the fridge Bread. For me, it’s my essential cooking ingredients so that I can whip up a quick cake or some fairy cakes when I’m surprised with unexpected visitors or just the kids declaring that they must have cake today.
First off is Eggs – I try and keep a minimum of 4 in the fridge as a couple of my favourite cakes need that amount in them and I know that I’m not really meant to keep them in the fridge, but I do there is space for them and before cooking I always let them return to room temperature before use.
Stork Margarine – essential for my cakes, in some of the recipes I make I always swap the butter for the margarine and stork margarine, is by far my favourite it’s soft and it easily creams with the sugar.
Unsalted butter – saying that I use the margarine for the cooking, there are some things that I have to use butter and I always have a packet sitting in the fridge.
Lemon Juice – yes I can get lemons but sometimes it’s good to have some readily available lemon juice and in the door I’ve always got a bottle or one of the little Lemon Jiffy Lemons!
Cream Cheese – I love cheesecakes and cream cheese frosting plus we like it on our sandwiches or mixed in with pasta so having a tub of cream cheese is essential for all of those extra’s.
Of course with these essentials plus our ingredients for meals for 4 of us our fridge has got to be big enough for all of us and when we changed to a family size Fridge Freezer last year we headed to Beko to search for the Fridge and Freezers to find the perfect one for us.
