Halloween is around the corner, and what better way to celebrate with your toddlers than with a fun and easy craft! Our Straw Blown Ghosts are quick to set up and perfect for young children to enjoy. They will have so much fun creating their own little ghosts with this easy ghost craft.

Straw Blown Ghost Craft

This is such and fun and simple craft for toddlers and preschoolers to make this Halloween. Not only is it fun but it also has lots of benefits too. Blowing through a straw helps your little ones to develop their breath control and works on those oral muscles essential for speech. Your little one will be working on their pincer grip as the pick up and glue the googly eyes in place, this is a great fine motor activity for your toddlers.

Step by Step Instructions to Make your Simple Ghost Craft with Your Toddler

1. Using the pipette, place dots of white paint on the black construction paper. Bigger dots will result in bigger ghosts.

2. Angle a straw towards one side of the paint dot and blow through it. The paint will move in the direction you blow.

Tip: To create varied ghost shapes, keep the straw straight for longer ghosts or move it back and forth for wider ghosts. Always maintain the angle on one side of the paint dot.

3. Let the paint dry, then flip your artwork, placing the rounded paint edge at the top.

4. Attach wiggly eyes to the top and use a black sharpie to draw unique mouth shapes, giving each ghost its own personality.

For a little extra fun grab some scissors and cut out your ghosts once they are dry and decorate your home or for your Halloween Party.
